:: *CRAFTS* ::

I have been wanting to do this for a little while. I am constantly finding crafty cute ideas on other blogs, and I thought hey maybe I will post a few things that I have recently worked on. I have tried to take pics as I go along. Hopefully it may be helpful for someone else trying to do the same thing : ) I just want to start off by stating that I am CHEAP!! I usually buy my furniture at the DI and refinish it. If I start a craft it is because I have found some ribbon or something on sale at Michael's or I have used my 40 % off coupon at Hobby lobby, Michael's or Joann's. I love, love to do crafty things. I most definitely am not a perfectionist. I am a pretty lousy seam stress, but I can in vision what a crappy piece of furniture can be : ) Good luck and have fun crafting

Changing table was purchased on Craigs list, total score : ) I was so excited to find my baskets at Home Goods,they match Henslee's room perfectly !! I just printed the labels off on my computer and covered a clothes pin with a tiny peice of paper to attach the label. Some of my labels were Diapers, wipes, lotions, headbands, etc....
Alright ladies this stuff is super, duper. I love it. Like I said before I am not much for sewing so this stuff comes in handy. I used this to attach anything you see on the following onesie's. All you do is cut it the same shape of fabric and apply heat. It's as simple as that!

I just used ribbon scraps for the Christmas tree & a gold pom pom. I made her leggings out of womens socks that I found at walmart for $1.99. I cut the feet out and stitched a hem. But I could've used the HEAT N BOND, to do the same hem.
I love, love this fabric. They have some really cute fabric at Hobby Lobby. My sister in law made me a darling bag using this fabric. I had to go get me some...and do something with it. Well this is what I came up with.

You know I was going to have to show off my beautiful little girl. I also made her a little skirt out of the fabric. I did not do a tutorial on that but it was super easy. Maybe I will take photos of the next skirt.

These letters and star applique's were at Michaels. They were only a few dollars and I still have a star and letters left over. I had the ribbon and the fabric. Once again I used the Heat N Bond to
attach. Pretty much if you cn iron, you can do all of these : )

We recieved this from a friend before Henslee was born. I loved it but thought it needed some color. It was used but in really good condition. After I washed it I just added some RIT Dye to the fabric. I got it at walmart for I think $1.99. I had this black ribbon from last years after Christmas sale for like 80% off : )

Once again cute fabric from Hobby Lobby. I got the burp cloths for about $1 a peice. I don't think I will buy that brand again( I think it was Gerber, they are just cloth diapers.). As you can see in the pic above they balled up after I washed them. But they come in very handy with Henslee, she never spits up but she slobbers like crazy while she is eating.

You don't have to be as crafty with a boy, which I am thankful for... but maybe while you're up here you can take a look at our room and Ryon's room & bgive me some decorating ideas? ;) You're so creative! Good work!

Jaymie - if you buy 1/4 yard of flannel you can just fold it in half the long way with right sides together & do a pillowcase stitch. Turn it rightside out & stitch down around all the edges (closing up the hole you left to turn it right side out). Ta da! Burp cloth. These are the best burp clothes ever. They absorb more than the cloth diapers (suprise, I know) & are soft on the nose. Cute onsies!
