THE BIG 5 YEAR!!!
First off... This is Jesse, not Jaymie cashing in my man card to do a little "blogging". I'm a first time "blogger" and hope to not make a habit of it. It took me about an hour to hack into my wife's blogger account to even attempt this so bear with me. I tried picking a "manly" font just to make myself feel like less of a girl, but my options are kind of limited. I just wanted to let everyone know how awesome my wife is, and how glad I am that 5 years ago on this day I somehow tricked her into marrying me. So in honor of our anniversary and her, I composed a little list of "The top 10 reasons my wife is better than yours." (I could have titled it something mushy but come on.... I'm already "blogging" here... can it get any mushier?)#10 - She puts up with me
I'd have to say I'm probably not the easiest person to be married too. Often times I smell, snore, don't put my things away, etc. but Jaym puts up with it all with no complaints. She allows me to be me and doesn't put up a fuss even when I know it's something she might not be a fan of.
#9 - She's super supportive
Jaym is always behind me 100%. She has had to go to sleep by herself probably more often than not over the past few years while I'm up studying and has had to take the back seat and go to work to support us while I'm in school. She never complains and has been 100% supportive of all the decisions I've made and encourages me in whatever I do or attempt to do. She never makes fun of me in public or in groups (which I see a lot of couples do) and would never intentionally make me feel bad in any way. When I come home after totally bombing an exam, she tells me its the professors fault, not mine.... She is just so supportive I don't know what I'd do without her.
#8 - She never yells
Man am I glad my wife never yells. She is the kindest sweetest person I know. I've never seen her raise her voice in anger or get super mad at me or anyone else for that matter. (Instead she just goes quiet and "feels bad" which is almost worse! Makes me feel horrible when I do or say something dumb, very effective). Outside of cheering someone on at a game or something, I don't think I've ever heard her raise her voice in a negative way.
#7 - She always listens to me
Or at least acts like she's listening to me... I'm sure conversing with a pharmacist nerd during long car ride back to Utah wouldn't be at the top of anyone's list. But she is always willing to listen to anything I say and never makes me feel like I'm talking to a wall. Even when she has no clue about what I'm talking about at least she attempts to understand and always listen.
#6 - She's a true sport
I can't think of any girls that I know that would just love to go live in the forest for a week, carrying all their own food, and get devoured by mosquito's. I can say it's definately not how Jaym would want to spend her vacation time, but she's a true sport about it and always is willing to accompany me on any kind of outdoor journey or adventure I conjure up. She knows that nothing makes me happier than livin' in the woods and having her with me so she is always willing to step up and takes one for the team.
#5 - She makes killer cupcakes and other deserts
This one doesn't need much explanation. Just take a look at my gut and count my chins.
#4 - She's always smiling
Everyone already knows this one, but try and think of a time when you have seen my wife not smiling. There isn't one. She is always so positive and constantly laughing, even at my super lame jokes. Whenever she walks in the room it just lightens up and little and you can just see how happy and positive of a person she is. She never focuses on the negative things that come her way and always makes the best of any situation.
#3 - She's insanely hot
How I scored such a beautiful bride will always be a mystery to me...
#2 - She has a solid testimony
What could be better than to have a wife that loves the Gospel as much as you do, where you can work together to obtain an eternal family. I think she is definately getting the short end of the stick having to be stuck with me FOREVER, but man am I lucky. I couldn't think of anyone else on earth that I'd rather be with forever, than Jaym. She has such a strong testimony and radiates it to all those around her. We've been through some tough times lately with all this """trying to get prego, not getting prego, crazy meds, no meds, trying to get prego through docs, not getting prego through docs, trying to adopt, thinking we're getting a baby, not getting a baby, and the latest... GETTING A BABY""" stuff, and it's done nothing but draw her closer to her Father in Heaven instead of push him away, which can happen very easy in such a delicate situation. (that was a really long sentence...no one judges grammar on blogger, right?) Jaym is a rock an I am so glad she is there to teach me and support me in the "testing" times.
#1.5 - Did I mention she's hot?
#1 - She is going to be the greatest mother ever!
I watch how Jaym interacts with her nieces, nephews, neighbors kids, etc. and it's easy to see how much she loves children. There is nothing she wants more, than to be a mom and she has had to wait a little while to achieve that goal. But when that little baby is in her arms, I know that there isn't anyone on earth I'd rather have raising and taking care of my children. She is going to be an awesome mom and I can't wait to see her in action!
Happy Anniversary Babe! I Love You!
--now I am going to go eat steak, lift weights, and watch football to earn my card back.....
